Principal, Consulting Services

Up to $125K plus bonus

Up to 65% travel.

The Principal, Consulting Services is responsible for contributing to the region’s P&L for consulting services. This role is responsible for all aspects of building and growing his/her portfolio of consulting business, including sales and delivery, focused in the area of Data Center/Information Technology Operations. The Principal will manage a team of Engagement Managers and Project Leads who are responsible for managing client projects, and also a team of consultants.

Responsibilities:
-Attain quarterly and annual goals and positive revenue growth.
-Execute the strategy, performance and growth initiatives for portfolio of client accounts managed, and provide thought leadership within managed domains or functional areas.
-Drive sales and business development for client accounts managed and within target accounts
-Execute account planning and penetration strategy for assigned accounts
-Work with the regional sales teams and the consulting overlay sales teams to increase demand for consulting services within target accounts
-Lead engagement staff in building strategic relationships within accounts that lead to programmatic, longer duration and higher value contracts for consulting and other Services businesses
-Lead the execution and delivery of consulting projects
-Execute robust project management methodologies that provide best in class delivery and a scalable platform
-Deliver Quality Assurance to ensure the highest degree of Quality and Client Satisfaction (based on value delivered) for engagements in the region
-Manage the skill set and strength of the engagement and consulting staff to balance short and medium term objectives
-Attract, develop, excite, and retain an outstanding group of individuals that as a team will outperform the competition
-Build and manage relationships with C-level client executives and be involved in executive-level sales support activities
-Provide thought leadership to “elevate the game” by focusing external and internal discussions on business value and strategic impact
-Provide market feedback and identify and develop new products and services, to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of practice methodologies and project management, and to deliver world class collateral and success stories based on business value delivery

Educational Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree (Business or Technical) preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
-Master’s degree preferred (MBA)

Qualifications:
-Minimum of 6 years relevant experience
-Strong business and technical acumen
-Excellent analytical and communication skills
-A highly-motivated, self directed individual who is tenacious in his/her approach, and approaches business in an energetic way
-Superior interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to win the confidence of individuals both within and outside of the organization
-Domain knowledge (Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery, Information Security, Data Center and IT Services) a plus

Business Experience:
-Successful line experience of building and growing consulting services business
-Knowledge of data center infrastructure (power, cooling, hardware etc.), storage, as well as IT optimization trends like Virtualization and Cloud computing
-Strong Data Center facilities experience in performing assessment, optimization and consolidation
-Proven track record of dealing with senior level executives and forging them into positive and profitable partnerships
-Demonstrated success managing teams and senior level professionals
-Experience leading both people and projects in a consulting environment
-Significant client-facing responsibilities, including leadership roles in sales process

-Exceptional organizational capabilities

-Experience in public speaking including presentations to senior executives and large groups
-Ability to drive continuous self-development and staff-development
